Engineered to overcome any weather thrown at it, few AM/FM/WB marine receivers can match the Infinity by Harman model REFPRV415 from Prospec Electronics. IP67-rated (front) and NMEA2000-ready, it boasts a wide range of audio input methods to ensure everyone on board can play their favorite music.
The REFPRV415 has a USB port that doubles as a charging station. Made for iPod® and iPhone®, it displays album artwork on its 3.5" color TFT screen. A 3.5mm aux input connects a broad array of audio players and the device streams music with ID tagging via Bluetooth. A versatile receiver, it brings in AM, FM, weather band and SiriusXM® signals (SiriusXM materials purchased separately). A video input allows users to see into a baitwell, the rear view or wherever a compatible camera has been installed.
Unlike some marine stereos, the Infinity by Harman REFPRV415 from Prospec Electronics is designed for easy, intuitive use. It has an adjustable backlighting control to optimize the device for daylight and nighttime.
The Infinity by Harman REFPRV415 has an internal amplifier with 4x50W peak power @ 4 ohms and is 2 ohm stable. For expandability, such as the addition of an amplifier for more power, this stereo incorporates three pairs of pre-outs.
Additional key features include being NMEA2000-compatible and wired remote-ready. Compatible remotes include the KAPMC40, INFREM1, and MIL-REM80. With the optional MIL-LEDPWR module, the stereo allows a boater to control speaker lighting and other forms of LED lighting directly through the source unit's faceplate. Available from Prospec Electronics, the REFPRV415 retails for $429.95.
