Clear deck plates for visual monitoring of controls or gauges mounted behind panels are popular with boaters and boatbuilders alike. But, they can be difficult to open when used in high-pressure or near-vacuum conditions—a challenge compounded when positioned in confined spaces like engine rooms. High-Torque Access Plates from Beckson Marine solve this problem. Their unique design facilitates removal when required, while maintaining surface clarity for easy viewing of protected instruments.
Beckson Marine High-Torque Access Plates are made in the USA, formed from durable marine plastic for total corrosion resistance and are watertight in even the most challenging environments. Each incorporates a combination of extra-deep fingerholes and a full pry, raised channel integrated into the surface design. This allows easy removal of the cover by hand, or when extra leverage is needed, using any 1" round handle.
Featuring a standard 6" inside diameter and 8-1/8" outside diameter, the threaded plates fit a common 6-1/2" hole cut. Trim rings are offered in white (model DP60-W-CC) or black (model DP60-B-CC) to suit a wide range of onboard finishes. This deck plate is not intended for use in foot traffic areas. Beckson Marine High-Torque Access Plates solve a common condition, whether installed on new boats or retrofitted to an existing hull by a service yard or as a DIY project. MSRP is $52.50.
