Building on the momentum generated by the launch of its all-new Sport RIB Collection for 2021, Highfield Boats, the world’s leading manufacturer of aluminum rigid inflatable boats (RIBS) and tenders, announces it will debut a new Ultralite RIB model, plus several innovative upgrade features for its existing lineup, at the fall boat shows.
“Light weight combined with high quality and durability is the concept behind the new offerings from Highfield Boats this year. We want to give our customers the option of owning an inflatable with a rigid aluminum hull for better performance and comfort that is still light enough to fit on their mother boat,” said Tom Watson, general manager, Highfield USA.
The Ultralite 220 (7’3”) is the new entry-level model for Highfield Boats’ popular Ultralite RIB series, which ranges up to 11’1” in length. Highfield’s single-deck Ultralite tenders are roomy and strong, yet light enough to be launched and recovered by a single person and transported on an SUV roof rack. The UL 220 has a weight of just 65 pounds and with a 6hp outboard and fuel under 130lbs. Built to last, its hull is constructed of 2-2.5mm thick powder-coated marine-grade aluminum and the tube is made of 1100-dtex fabric.
Highfield Boats launches another design innovation with its new GT Console option, available for the Highfield Classic 340 (11’2”), 360 (11’10”) (shown) and 380 (12’10”) RIBs. Where Highfield’s slim-line FCT Console saves space and weight and the Sport Console adds luxury amenities, the GT Console offers the best of both worlds, combining light weight with sporty good looks and luxury features. The new GT Console package includes helm console with steering wheel and dashboard space for a 5” chartplotter, side seat with storage beneath, nav lights, and bow cushion. Add the rear seat from the FCT package, and you have a stylish, seaworthy tender with comfortable seating that can take you on fun adventures away from the mother boat. The three Classic models now offered with the GT Console package are available in different color options. Wet weights start at just 445 lbs., including engine, rigging and fuel. Highfield Boats’ unique high tensile chromated and powder-coated aluminum hull and choice of Hypalon or PVC tubes ensure durability and longevity.
Another new option designed for the Highfield Classic Series is the Classic Storage Box (left). This large, lockable box, which mounts securely to the deck utilizing the FCT Seat bolt locations, provides handy extra storage space. Topped by an EVA Teak cover with four snaps, it is offered with an optional cushion that provides an additional seat on board the RIB. The Classic Storage Box is available on the Highfield Classic 290 (9’6”), 310 (10’2”), 340 (11’2”), 360 (11’10”) and 380 (12’10”) models.
Highfield Boats also is introducing the new Forward Arch option (right) for the Sport 520 (17’2”) RIB. With its stylish stainless-steel arches and integrated bimini-style top, the Forward Arch offers welcome protection from the sun. A tow point on top of the arch provides added functionality. Equally at home as a primary boat and tender to a large yacht, the Sport 520 combines luxury features and performance in a highly attractive package.
“With three different RIB series and a host of options that allow you to configure your boat your way, Highfield has your tender,” Watson said. “Please come see us at the fall boat shows.”
