If you live in the Great Lakes region then you are no stranger to the argument of “which lighthouse is the coolest.” The truth is this is an endless argument because there are so many interesting lighthouses around the Great Lakes to choose from. So, we decided to highlight three lighthouses for you in Lake Erie.
Now don’t get offended if we didn’t highlight your favorite. These are simply three of the lighthouses that have stuck out to our staff writers and readers. We know there are so many more that deserve to be included, but unfortunately we can’t include them all.

Marblehead Lighthouse State Park
The construction of this Ohio lighthouse started 1821 and since then it has become an important fissure of the state appearing stamps and even on the Ohio license plate.
Toledo Harbor Lighthouse
Believed to resemble a gingerbread house, this lighthouse has welcomed visitors to Maumee Bay since 1902.
Point Abino Lighthouse
In 2017, Point Abino Lighthouse celebrated its 100th anniversary. The lighthouse has undergone many changes through the years to provide better lighting for those entering Buffalo, which is just ten miles away from the station.
