SAULT STE. MARIE, MI — Give a medal to the person who coined the term "rock snot."
Although scientifically named "Didymosphenia geminata," the freshwater algae, nicknamed after its disgusting mucus-like appearance, is one of two new aquatic invasive species that have shown up in Michigan waters this year.
