Five years ago this month, an Enbridge pipeline leaked more than 800,000 gallons of heavy crude oil into the Kalamazoo River. It took the company 17 hours to respond, resulting in the largest inland oil spill in the U.S. Marshall, Battle Creek and Galesburg have yet to recover from this disaster.
