The Michigan Department of Natural Resources today announced that the Parent Lake Boating Access Site in Baraga County will temporarily close Tuesday, Sept. 6, for site improvements.
DNR staff will be replacing the concrete ramp, resurfacing the parking lot and reinstalling the courtesy pier. Total cost of the project is estimated at $4,000. The project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, Sept. 9.
This project is funded through the Michigan State Waterways Fund, a restricted fund derived from boat registration fees and Michigan marine fuel tax for the construction, operation, and maintenance of public recreational boating facilities.
