PORTAGE | The idea to reclaim much of Lake Michigan's shore for public use took another step forward Wednesday afternoon.
Local and federal officials officially kicked off a $3.2 million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Michigan Waterfront Portage Park project aimed at restoring another 69 acres of industrial land back to its native habitat.
