Dredging at Rochester Harbor is underway, in a plan to clean up the Port of Rochester at Lake Ontario and the Genesee River.
The two-year, $1.72 million project, was awarded to Luedtke Engineering Co. of Frankfort, Mich., and is being carried out by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District. Some 210,000 cubic yards of sediment will be dredged from the federal navigation channel this year.
