New York Canal System sets schedule for 2016 boating season

Albany, N.Y. — New York's State Canal System is scheduled to open on May 1 for the 2016 season.
The 524-mile system connects the Hudson River with Lake Champlain, Lake Ontario, Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake and Lake Erie via the Niagara River.
