The city of New Baltimore is expected to receive $2.85 million to purchase Schmid Marina, officials said Wednesday. The funds will be allocated following approval from the state Legislature.
The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund recommended several projects on Wednesday, allocating more than $28 million for natural resources improvement projects in Macomb County and across the state, Sen. Phil Pavlov, R-St. Clair Township, said in a release. New Baltimore was awarded the funding for Schmid Marina at a meeting held in Lansing on Wednesday, according to city officials.
