ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – An update on a story KWQC brought you about a sinking dock at Sunset Marina in Rock Island. The 400 dock at the Marina is partially under water and boaters have been voicing concerns about why fees they’re paying aren’t going to fix the problem.
Monday night, Rock Island Public Works met with city council members to present an update on the Marina. The update is looking good for boaters’ wallets.Rock Island Public Works Director, Randy Tweet said they do not plan on replacing the sinking 400 dock so there will be no changes to boaters’ rates for 2016.
