The Moorings 34th Annual Interline Regatta Returns to the British Virgin Islands this October

Clearwater, FL – (August 11, 2015) – The world’s premier yacht charter company, The Moorings is proud to present the 34th Annual Interline Regatta, coming to the British Virgin Islands October 13-22, 2015.Open to members of the airline industry, their families and friends, the Interline Regatta features a variety of events for both sailors and spectators alike. In addition to numerous boat races throughout the islands, the regatta hosts a variety of nightly theme parties, making it perfect for anyone looking for non-stop celebration in a beautiful island setting. This year’s regatta will host an expanded range of classes including The Moorings 51.5, 50.5, 45.3 and 43.3 monohulls. There will also be a Team Prize for teams competing in at least three of the four classes, and a number of new party themes and venues throughout the islands. The regatta will feature four days of racing to and from some of the islands’ most enjoyable destinations – from the starting point in Road Town to Peter Island, Norman Island, Virgin Gorda, Trellis Bay and Marina Cay. The races will commence on Friday, October 16and end on Tuesday, October 20 with a dinner and awards ceremony at Pusser’s in Marina Cay. After each day of racing, The Moorings will host a number of can’t-miss theme bashes including a “Speakeasy Soiree” at Oceans 7 Beach Club, a “Buccaneer Bash” at Pirate’s Bight, a “Pajama-Palooza” Party at Leverick Bay Resort, and a “Super Hero Send-off” at Pusser’s Marina Cay. “The Interline Regatta is more than an event, it’s a tradition,” said Josie Tucci, General Manager of The Moorings. “As any past attendee will tell you, each year is a uniquely unforgettable experience. With these new boat classes and the festivities we have lined up, 2015 could easily be our best Interline yet.” Registration is now open for both racing and spectator yachts from The Moorings. Only one member of the airline industry is required for each racing monohull. Anyone can register for a spectator boat to join the festivities.
