The marina originally was not included in this year’s city budget, but the Common Council changed its mind on that, voting May 6 to open the facility after Director of Finance Scott A. Schrader calculated that the city could earn enough from slip rentals and gasoline and ice sales to cover the expense. The Council voted to raise the prices and begin charging for overnight or transient dockage, which had been free.
