PORT CLINTON – Lake Erie's stellar smallmouth bass fishery and growing largemouth catch has landed it on Bassmaster Magazine's top 25 U.S. bass lakes.
The magazine named Lake Erie within 30 miles of Sandusky — which includes part of the Port Clinton area — as the 22nd best lake for bass fishing in the country on its 100 Best Bass Lakes in America list, released in its July/August edition.
