RACINE — An experiment designed to bring back more catchable fish in a few years began with the arrival of about 25,000 Chinook salmon fingerlings in the Root River on Tuesday.
Every spring, the state Department of Natural Resources visits the Root River with a truck full of minnow-size Chinook salmon fingerlings.
