MUSKEGON, MI – When it comes to the ice formations the Lake Michigan shoreline in West Michigan, it's best to take a look-but-don't-touch approach.
That's the recommendation of U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer First Class Christopher Apple, who works in the Muskegon office. It is consistent with what public safety officials in the area say when the breathtaking ice shelves form along the west coast of Michigan each winter.
