by Sabrina Eaton, Northeast Ohio Media Group, Washington Correspondent WASHINGTON, D. C. - Months after the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency blocked the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from dumping material in Lake Erie that it dredged from Cleveland Harbor, the Army Corps has reinstated its request to place sediment in the open lake. The federal entity responsible for harbor dredging made the request at the same time as the Ohio EPA and Port of Cleveland agreed on a different sediment disposal plan that would extend the life of Cleveland's existing sediment disposal facility by as much as 50 years. http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2014/11/us_army_corps_of_engineers_ren.html
