The Ohio Wildlife Council has clamped down a bit on commercial fishing nets at its recent meeting.
The Council passed a rule that established a quarter-mile restricted area for the placement of commercial nets around 12 Lake Erie reefs, including Niagara, Mouse Island, Starve Island, Gull Island, and Kelleys Island.
