arine, the world’s largest waterlife outfitter, today announced that Derric Raymond of Kissimmee, Florida, is the winner in the 2014
West Marine Deck Out Dad photo contest. Through the contest, West Marine invited people to post photos through Instagram and Facebook of fathers who they thought deserved a $500 West Marine waterlife makeover. West Marine received hundreds of entries from across the U.S. of fathers fishing, sailing and just enjoying life on or near the water. Photos of the entries can be viewed at /www.westmarine.com/dad.
Raymond’s entry included a caption from Raymond’s 11-year old son Remi that honored Raymond as a dad, but also stated Remi’s desire to get himself out on the water. “I think my dad deserves the makeover because he is the best. He's worked really hard on this boat and it still needs a lot of work until it runs,” Remi said. “I can't wait to go fishing!!!"
