2 rescued from boat near edge of Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- Two people were rescued Sunday night after their boat became disabled near Niagara Falls. New York State Parks Police Lt. Patrick Moriarty says "This was an inexperienced boater that wasn't aware of the danger of being in that area." That inexperience in the carefully marked danger or exclusion zone of the Niagara River caused a man and a woman to find themselves stuck last night in a 17 foot boat on a rocky reef with a busted propeller. Then their anchor line broke and they found themselves about a half mile away from the brink of the Falls. Read more:
